By providing standardized disability prevalence metrics, the DDH databank offers a comprehensive perspective on disability in countries. The Databank includes comparable prevalence estimates aligned with the six functional domains defined by the Washington Group Short Set: vision, hearing, mobility, cognition, self-care, and communication. In addition, the DDH Databank enables the assessment of disparities by presenting human development outcomes disaggregated by disability status. These indicators, which cover education, employment, and other dimensions of well-being, allow for a more complete picture of the challenges faced by persons with disabilities across different countries and contexts.
