We revisit these entrepreneurs after seven years, and find long-lasting average impacts of personal initiative training of $91 higher profits per month, which is larger than the 2-year impacts. However, these long-term impacts are very different for men and women: the impact for men grows over time as they accumulate more capital and increase self-efficacy, whereas the impact for women is flat or declines, and capital build-up is much more limited.
Paper exhibits were reproduced in a computer with the following specifications:
• OS: Windows 11 Enterprise, version 21H2
• Processor: Intel(R) Xeon(R) Gold 6226R CPU @ 2.90GHz, 16 Core(s)
• Memory available: 15.7 GB
• Software version: Stata 18 MP
To successfully reproduce the analysis, follow these steps:
1. **Update the file path** in the main Stata do-file, `MasterLongRun`, to reflect the correct location of the raw datasets.
2. **Run** the `MasterLongRun` script in Stata to execute the analysis.
~5 minutes
The materials in the reproducibility packages are distributed as they were prepared by the staff of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development/The World Bank.
