The measure of welfare is real income. The tools account for the effects of trade liberalization on the prices paid by consumers, on the prices of products sold by producers and on wages. The data provides aggregate metrics to quantify those welfare effects separately for women and for men. These metrics include household headship (i.e., a comparison of households with males as head relative to households with females as head) as well as household composition (i.e., a comparison of households with different female composition).","geographic_units":[{"name":"World","code":"WLD"}],"keywords":[{"name":"Trade Liberalization"},{"name":"Gender Bias"}],"topics":[{"id":"F1","uri":"https:\/\/www.aeaweb.org\/econlit\/jelCodes.php?view=jel","vocabulary":"Journal of Economic Literature (JEL)","name":"Trade","parent_id":"F"},{"id":" J16","uri":"https:\/\/www.aeaweb.org\/econlit\/jelCodes.php?view=jel","vocabulary":"Journal of Economic Literature (JEL)","name":"Economics of Gender \u2022 Non-labor Discrimination","parent_id":"J1"},{"id":" O13","uri":"https:\/\/www.aeaweb.org\/econlit\/jelCodes.php?view=jel","vocabulary":"Journal of Economic Literature (JEL)","name":"Agriculture \u2022 Natural Resources \u2022 Energy \u2022 Environment \u2022 Other Primary Products","parent_id":"O1"},{"id":" J43","uri":"https:\/\/www.aeaweb.org\/econlit\/jelCodes.php?view=jel","vocabulary":"Journal of Economic Literature (JEL)","name":"Agricultural Labor Markets","parent_id":"J4"}],"output":[{"description":"World Bank Reports & Flagships","title":"Assessing The Welfare Impacts Of Tariff Liberalization For Women: Data And Analytical Framework","type":"Flagship or other report","uri":"https:\/\/documents1.worldbank.org\/curated\/en\/099031326031523845\/pdf\/P500808-f9f3f53b-2d03-4619-9e5b-2076ffeb92f9.pdf"}],"language":[{"name":"English","code":"EN"}],"technology_requirements":"Run time: 10 minutes.","disclaimer":"The materials in the reproducibility packages are distributed as they were prepared by the staff of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development\/The World Bank.
