Data comes from the 2022 Ghana DHS survey, a nationally and regionally representative household survey, which is combined with auxiliary information from the 2021 Population and Housing Census and other publicly available datasets to produce modelled district-level estimates. While the general pattern of higher malnutrition in the north regions of the country prevails, the district-level estimates show high variation in stunting within regions. The level of geographical detail provided by the stunting maps can thus help improve policy interventions to tackle stunting in Ghana.","geographic_units":[{"name":"Ghana","code":"GHA"}],"keywords":[{"name":"Child Malnutrition"},{"name":"Small Area Estimation"},{"name":"Geographic Targeting"},{"name":"Ghana Districts"}],"topics":[{"id":"I15","uri":"https:\/\/www.aeaweb.org\/econlit\/jelCodes.php?view=jel","vocabulary":"Journal of Economic Literature (JEL)","name":"Health and Economic Development","parent_id":"I1"},{"id":" I32","uri":"https:\/\/www.aeaweb.org\/econlit\/jelCodes.php?view=jel","vocabulary":"Journal of Economic Literature (JEL)","name":"Measurement and Analysis of Poverty","parent_id":"I3"},{"id":" R29","uri":"https:\/\/www.aeaweb.org\/econlit\/jelCodes.php?view=jel","vocabulary":"Journal of Economic Literature (JEL)","name":"Other","parent_id":"R2"}],"output":[{"type":"Working Paper","description":"Policy Research Working Papers (PRWP)","title":"Small Area Estimates Of Stunting For Ghana","authors":"Laura Rodriguez Takeuchi, Kwame Adjei-Mantei"}],"language":[{"name":"English","code":"EN"}],"disclaimer":"The materials in the reproducibility packages are distributed as they were prepared by the staff of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development\/The World Bank.
