    Reproduction instructions

    To successfully replicate the analysis provided in this package, new users need to download the World Values Survey (Wave 7) data from URL mentioned. Once downloaded, the data file must be renamed according to the instructions provided in the README file and then placed into the specified folder structure. After that, users must update the directory paths in the main do file to reflect the user's local file system. The stata dofile will generate figures 5,6,7,8 and summary figure C. For the remaining outputs, users should follow the instructions available in the README file and replicate them in the 'Replication Tables and Figures.xlsx' file. All data sources are publicly available but not ALL are included in the reproducibility packages given access limitations.

    Source: World Values Survey Located at: \Stata code and files\WVS_Cross-National_Wave_7_Stata_v5_0.dta The study used version 5 of the Wave 7 WVS dataset. Version 6 would produce the same results. Users must download the file from the URL below, save it in the mentioned folder and edit the filename in line 15 and 25 of the main dofile.

    Source: The Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) Located at: \Excel for UPR and Ent survey results\Replication package Table 2.xlsx(sheet: UPR documents) The data was compiled by downloading and examining two documents for each country in the UPR online database. The UPR documents are all publicly available at the UPR “Documentation by Country” section from the URL below.
